“Les Roses”: A GOOD FRENCH BRONZE SCULPTURE by Fromental

M. Fromental: an elegant and impressive late 19th century Art Nouveau period French BRONZE SCULPTURE which depicts a scantily dressed young lady, who holds roses in her right hand and a cornucopia in her left, whilst gracefully standing one one leg. The base is inscribed with the sculptor’s signature and with an hand-engraved shield stating that the artist was a member of the École des beaux Arts, Paris. Good size:  17ins (43cms) including the original variegated ‘rouge antico’ marble base.
