A fine quality early/mid 19th Century ROSEWOOD DAVENPORT in wonderful condition and of very good colour and patina. The top features a brass gallery and a blind-tooled leather writing surface to the rising top, which when opened reveals the fitted interior with two small drawers and the securing knob for the hinged side pen and ink drawer.

Both sides feature useful slides, whilst to the right side are four graduated, mahogany-lined drawers with their original fine turned handles. The whole top section slides forward when in use and it is supported on melon-carved and turned feet with original brass castors within. A fine quality example of a versatile and useful piece of furniture.
