ASPREY’S LONDON: a particularly fine quality English five-piece “boulle” DESK SET retailed by this prestigious Bond Street store. Each piece, which is in perfect condition, is of profusely brass-inlaid red tortoiseshell, and comprises: mahogany easel-backed Photograph Frame; dome-fronted fitted Stationery Box (signed Asprey); heavy glass Inkwell & Stand; square Box with hinged lid and large Letter Folder complete with original inner burgundy leather blotter file.

Wonderful condition (almost mint) and each piece is of good size as follows: the photograph frame: 10.5 x 8.5ins (26.75 x 21.6cms); the stationery box: 9ins wide; 7ins tall (22.85 x 17.8cms); the ink bottle and stand: 5ins square (12.75cms square); the box: 4.5 x 4ins (11.5 x 10cms) and the letter folder a large 13 x 10ins (33 x 25.5cms). The quality of the boulle work is superb, as the close-up image illustrates.
