RONCORONI of Basingstoke: A charming early / mid 19th century WHEEL BAROMETER of pretty and compact size.

The slender case is veneered in ‘flame’ mahogany topped by a ‘swan-neck’ pediment. The slim shaped trunk supports a long convex thermometer and the main silvered barometer dial with two subsidiary silvered dials. One of which contains the engraved signature and location.

Francis RONCORONI is recorded as working at 81 High Holburn, London later moving to Basingstoke, possibly for health reasons.

Sold in full working order and can be plugged for safe UK transportation. For overseas shipments, careful hazard packing will be required, with a professional at the other end to safely unpack and restore the mercury barometer to working order.
