A WELL-COMPOSED 1930’S MARINE OIL PAINTING

Edvard EDLER (German, 1887-1969): an atmospheric Marine Oil Painting, on canvas, which depicts a fine large barque, with an English tug in close attendance, off the white cliffs of Dover.  The fully-rigged barque flies the red ensign, whilst other shipping can be seen in the background on what is a blustery, but clear day. Signed lower left: Ed. Edler, Hbg (Hamburg). 76 x 96 cms including the frame.  (**The frame is damaged ~ mainly lower edge ~ hence a sensible price.
