19th century height-adjustable mahogany Torchere / Occasional table

A good early 19th century height-adjustable mahogany Torchere or Occasional Table, with turned and reeded column and circular top (diameter 35 cm) with a lipped edge.

The nicely turned and reeded column extends by means of an adjusting screw raising to its full height of 106.5 cm. The lowest setting being 70 cm, however it can be set to any height in between. The whole unit is supported on a down-swept reeded mahogany tripod base ending in pad-feet.
