W. D. ALMOND: OIL PAINTING ON PANEL

“THE DANDY”: an attractive OIL PAINTING under glass of a well-dressed Georgian gentleman, admiring himself before a mirror! He wears a mauve silk coat; powdered wig and silk stockings, whilst on the Pembroke Table in front of him are various pieces of porcelain.

Dimensions: 17 x 14 inches including the ebony frame, which is glazed, hence some reflections in these images!

* WILLIAM DOUGLAS ALMOND (1866 – 1916) was a London-based illustrator and draughtsman. He exhibited widely at major London galleries, including the Royal Academy.
