VERY FINE QUALITY GILDED PHOTOGRAPH FRAME

An unusual and particularly fine quality mid-19th century engraved, pierced and gilded (gold plated) wall-hanging PHOTOGRAPH FRAME in excellent original condition. The quality of the engraving to the frame is superb, whilst the inner frame (which can be removed to allow a photograph to be inserted) is also engraved, and set with over 40 ruby-coloured cabochon stones.  The gilded reverse is scratch-engraved with: “Katie Lucy Willash (?sp) 1856”.
