Tortoiseshell and silver POSTAL SCALES

An unusual and particularly fine quality set of Victorian POSTAL SCALES, the base of tortoiseshell, the scales themselves of silver, and complete with full set of five brass weights (0.5oz – 4 ozs ~including the smallest upper one, which is often absent).  Every component of the scales is hallmarked ~ no fewer than nine places ~ for London 1898. 16 x 11 x 7cms
