Robert SCOTT-TEMPLE (1850-1937). Oil painting on canvas. Highland River Scene with cascading waterfalls, favoured fishing locations.

A fine example of turn of the Century landscape painting, showing a softly trickling river, running over rocks through the highlands with silver birch trees at the banks, slowly changing to their autumnal orange. Signed to the lower right corner and presented in its original gilt slip frame.

Robert Scott-Temple travelled widely. He had paintings in a number of collections and is believed to have exhibited at the Scottish Royal Academy.
