Patrick Mavros: a good well-modelled solid silver sculpture of a giraffe, mounted on a naturally finished hardwood base. Hallmarked underneath and with the initials “PM”. Height: 4.75ins (12cms) including the base.

** Patrick MAVROS, born in Zimbabwe in 1954, has become an internationally acclaimed and successful company known originally for its superbly modelled and cast silver sculptures inspired by the animals of Africa. The family’s second generation has expanded into jewellery, whilst the original silver animals remain very popular and avidly collected.
