Price: £175
Stock No. 1640/Q

A Meiji period (1868-1912) Japanese bronze Okimono of a Crocodile. (Possibly an Alligator, as it has a squared jawline, rather than a more pointed one).

Superb detail. It would appear that the bottom jaw was once articulated, but has been fixed at some point, although not recently.

Unsigned.

Length: 18 cm.

Date: c.1890-1910.
