An Army Officers Dress Sword (with original leather scabbard).

The incised blade bearing the Royal Coat of Arms and the Initials W.D.F.L with a shagreen & wire grip; made by Holt & Son, 20 Sackville Street, Piccadilly, London. Length: 38.5 inches (98 cm).

Date: c.1890-1900.

The business Holt & Son was a Naval, Military & General tailors run by Harriet Emma Isabella HOLT and Thomas William CASTLE from the premises of 20 Sackville Street, Piccadilly, London until it was dissolved on 25th January 1911.
