LARGE GORGE-CASE FRENCH CARRIAGE CLOCK

A good quality late 19th century French CARRIAGE CLOCK in full working order. The case is of desirable “gorge” design, with large  bevelled glass top; bevelled glass panels to all sides and iconic ribbed handle. The 8-day timepiece movement retains its original lever platform escapement whilst the fine enamel dial features a silvered mask and original blued steel ‘spade’ hands. 7.5ins high with handle up.
