LARGE AUSTRIAN COLD-PAINTED COCKEREL

A large and fine quality late 19th century Austrian “Vienna” cold-painted BRONZE COCKEREL. Brightly coloured with long tail feathers and prominent bright red comb, this impressive cockerel stands assertively, perhaps preparing to defend his family?  Unsigned, but clearly in the manner of Franz Xaver Bergmann.  Good large size: 9ins (23cms) high; 11ins (28cms) wide.
