Japanese Meiji period (1868-1912) ARTICULATED Bronze Okimono of a Crab
Price: £375Stock No. 1653/Q
A superb Japanese Meiji period (1868-1912) Bronze Okimono of a Crab, which features very rare articulated legs and pincers.
The detail is astonishing and the way the lags move is highly realistic. There is a signature stamped into the underside, however it is hard to read. I have been unable to establish the name of the sculptor. Workmanship is of the highest order.
Dated: c.1870-1880.
Dimensions: 9 x 6cm.
