Interesting American Art Nouveau VASE

A pretty early American Art Nouveau BRONZE VASE signed “Aimis” for Otto Heintz.**  This charming vase is decorated with Sterling Silver stylised iris flowers overlaid on to the bronze surface. Fine original condition. 4.5ins high.  Marked: “Sterling Silver on Bronze” to the base and the “Aimis” trademark.

** Otto Heintz was born into a family of manufacturing jewellers established in 1875 in Buffalo NY State.  In 1902 he purchased a small company renaming it the “Art Crafts Shop” and began manufacturing his own decorative objects, changing the name to “Heintz Art Metal Shop” and shifting to bronze as the base metal and sterling silver as decoration.
