The bookcase is made up of two sections. The lower section with two finely figured mahogany doors, opening to reveal a fixed shelf on each side. The upper section with pediment is glazed and shallower in depth. There are two adjustable shelves on each side, ideal for smaller books, or displaying glass and porcelain items.

The base is decorated with roundels and beading, supported on a reeded plinth with attractively turned feet.
