A VERY PRETTY ROSEWOOD “DWARF” BOOKCASE

A lovely quality and eminently useful mid-19th century rosewood “DWARF” BOOKCASE in excellent original condition.  Such bookcases are popular; this excellent example features two fully-adjustable shelves (making three in total) which are flanked by beautifully carved solid rosewood “stiles”, whilst the well-figured top features “gadroon” carving to both the front and the sides of the frieze. It is supported on a plinth base and measures 29.5ins wide; 41ins high and 10ins deep front-to-back. Highly recommended.
