1471/17: JULLION of BRENTFORD (ESSEX): a lovely late 18th century BRACKET CLOCK in perfect working order. Unusually for a clock of this period, the original case is of finest burr walnut, with cast brass carrying handle; gilt spandrels to the front door; original escutcheon and walnut feet. The 8-day movement retains its original anchor escapement, striking & repeating hours on a bell, with silvered dial and date aperture above "VI". 20ins high; 11ins wide (51x28cms) *John Jullion & Son worked together in New Brentford from circa 1762 though given the date of this clock, it was almost certainly made by son John alone. c.1790
