1962/19: A pretty mid-Victorian well-figured walnut PEDESTAL DESK in good condition. The top, which is fitted with a gilt-tooled beige coloured leather writing surface, features three mahogany-lined drawers to the frieze, all of which retain their original solid walnut bun handles. Below are two cupboards, one with three mahogany drawers inside; the other fitted as a cupboard with an adjustable shelf. It is supported on a plinth base, and overall it is veneered in finely figured walnut of good "warm" colour, including the well-panelled back. 48ins wide; 27ins deep; 29.5ins high. 1959/19: A good quality early/mid 18th century WALNUT BUREAU of quite small size in excellent original "Country House" condition. Of good colour, this traditional bureau is veneered with beautifully figured walnut with 'herringbone' inlay. The fall opens to reveal the well-fitted interior with eight small oak-lined drawers and six pigeonholes arranged around a small cup-board, with a fine "book-matched" veneered writing surface. Below are 4 long oak-lined graduated drawers, all with original brass plate handles, and it is supported on original walnut bracket feet. 36ins wide; 18ins deep; 40ins high. 736/14: A very good quality and thoroughly original mid-18th century George II period Red Walnut KNEEHOLE DRESSING CHEST. Below the solid top, with its moulded edges and rounded corners, is a long oak-lined drawer, with six further smaller drawers flanking the central kneehole. To this is another frieze drawer whilst at the back is the locking central cupboard with an inner shelf. It is raised on original bracket feet and all the locks, hinges, escutcheons and pierced brass handles are original. Measurements: 38ins wide; 18.5ins deep (86 x 47cms) c.1740
