1592/17: A particularly fine quality late 19th century coromandel DECANTER BOX in mint condition. The brass-bound box itself is of beautifully figured coromandel wood with recessed brass handles to the sides. It opens to reveal the set of four large decanters with four glasses housed within the lid. The plush velvet lined front drops down (for serving) and all the decanters retain their original numbered stoppers. This is a very good one indeed! All dimensions 10.5ins (27.75cms). c.1875

1583/17: A very fine quality plated and gilded 3-BOTTLE TANTALUS, complete with its three original cut-glass decanters. Invented by Betjemann (signed and stamped accordingly) this heavy tantalus features a cast nickel-plated handle and applied gilt initials to the top. It is lined in plush red velvet and the three decanters are all in perfect condition. Complete with original gilded key. 13.5ins long; 12ins high; 6.5ins deep. (34.25 x 30.5 x 16.5cms) c.1880

1558/17: A large late Victorian or Edwardian DRINKS & GAMES COMPENDIUM with all sorts of fine contents. The case itself is of mahogany inlaid with 'batswing' decoration to the front, and lid, with hinged brass handles to either side. It opens to reveal its set of three cut-glass decanters; set of 6 engraved glasses; pair of gilt coasters and a large gilt tray. A cedar-lined drawer can be found to the front (for cigars) and a secret button accesses the games drawer, with cards; pegs; counters and dice etc., plus a gilt cribbage board above. Excellent condition. 16 x 14.5 x 11ins (40.5 x 37 x 28cms). c.1900
