1616/18: A good quality late 19th century French CARRIAGE CLOCK of pretty oval form. The case is of high quality, with its four bowed and bevelled glass panels and with an oval glass panel to the top below the shaped cast brass handle. The 8-day movement, which retains its original platform lever escapement, strikes hours and half-hours on a gong. The enamel dial is perfect, and original as are the blued steel 'spade' hands. Full working order and guaranteed at least two years. 7.5ins high (handle up); 4.5ins wide; 3.75ins deep. (19 x 11.5 x 9.5cms) c.1880

1608/17: A good quality late 18th century OVAL TEA CADDY, veneered in sycamore wood and inlaid with marquetry flowers and leaves to the front, tied with a marquetry ribbon. The lid, which features an inlaid oval panel of flowers, on a satinwood background, opens to reveal the interior with much of the original lead lining intact. 6ins wide. c.1790

1606/17: A good late 18th century OVAL TEA CADDY veneered in figured sycamore wood, with boxwood edges. The lid is inlaid with an oval marquetry panel of a conch shell, with a similar oval panel to the front, flanked by inlaid trailing leaves and harebells. The inside contains much of the original lead lining. 5.5ins wide. c.1785
