1937/19: A very fine and complete mahogany APOTHECARY'S CABINET in excellent and original condition. This large solid mahogany cabinet, with its recessed military-style carrying handle to the top, opens via two hinged doors to display the full set of 17 bottles and jars all with original labels. Below is the bank of five small drawers, which open to reveal all sorts of 'goodies' including pestle & mortar; further small bottles & stoppers; brass & steel scales and brass weights; a wonderful boxed hypodermic syringe and various needles and many other items, some contained in the deep drawer to the base. At the top of the back is the "secret" poison drawer with its full set of 5 red-labelled bottles on view. A fine example. 14ins high; 11.5ins wide; 7.5ins deep. (35.5 x 29 x 19cms) c.1840

1935/19: A particularly well-fitted mid-19th century mahogany APOTHECARY'S BOX (or medicine box) in very good condition. The well figured mahogany case, with its recessed brass military-style handle to the lid, opens to reveal a total of 16 small bottles, all with labels, neatly arranged in three rows. The deep drawer below opens to display further bottles and jars, pestle and mortar together with steel & brass balance scales; weights and other items. Beautiful condition. 9ins wide; 8.5ins high; 6ins deep. (23 x 21.5 x15cms) c.1850
