1573/17: A stunning early 19th century French Empire period mahogany MANTEL CLOCK in wonderful original condition. The case is most impressive, with finely-figured mahogany columns supporting the 'portico' top with superb quality ormolu capitals and mounts. The eight-day movement strikes hours and half-hours on a bell, with a gorgeous ormolu dial; blued steel "Breguet" moon hands and its original 'gridiron' pendulum with ormolu bob. Perfect working order and a thoroughly original clock of very fine quality. 22ins high; 11.5ins wide' 5.5ins deep (56 x 29 x 14cms). *Signed to the dial: "Laine Paris" c.1830

1384/17: A pretty and small mid-19th century English FOUR-GLASS CLOCK in perfect working order. The case is of polished honey-colour oak, with bevelled glass panels to the sides and top, whilst the 8-day movement is chain-fusee driven. Engraved and silvered dial; original blued steel hands; original pendulum and pendulum retaining knob. Guaranteed for at least two years. 9.5ins high; 7.5ins wide; 5.5ins deep (24 x 19 x 12.25cms) c.1835
