1932/19: A most impressive and large mid-19th century circular DINING TABLE in fine original condition. This spectacular table is veneered in finest figured rosewood and will seat EIGHT with comfort and ten at a pinch. It is supported on an impressive rosewood central column, with a carved 'collar' leading to the wide triform base with beautifully carved "Lion's Paw" feet and original concealed castors. The quality of the figuring to the top (which measures 5ft diameter) is truly superb. *Highly Recommended. c.1840

1862/18: A good-size solid mahogany early 19th century OVAL BREAKFAST/DINING TABLE capable of seating six (even more at a pinch) in great comfort. The solid well-figured top with its "thumb-nail' moulded edge, tilts upwards and is supported on a well-turned vase-shaped central pillar leading to four splayed legs and original brass castors. The top measures 57 x 45.5ins and it is 28.5ins high. * Unusually, this table comes with a larger, modern two-section top that can be positioned at will, allowing the table to seat TEN! c.1820

1841/18: A wonderful quality and highly impressive George III period solid mahogany DINING TABLE in splendid condition. Possibly by Gillows, this fine table (capable of seating 12 in comfort) is complete with three original leaves which are supported by the patented action, whilst the table itself is raised on four beautifully turned and reeded legs which terminate in remarkable large solid brass "barrel" castors. Dimensions: 44ins wide; 29ins high; 10ft 4ins long, with all leaves in place. (111.75 x 73.5 x 315cms). c.1790

1818/18: Gillows of Lancaster: a beautiful quality mahogany pedestal BREAKFAST or small DINING TABLE in excellent condition. The very finely figured top (of particularly good colour) features a reeded edge and a shallow frieze. This is supported via the tilting mechanism, on a typical Gillows turned and reeded central column leading to four reeded sabre legs and finely cast brass castors. A pretty and compact table. 45 x 35ins (114 x 89 cms). *The top of the block found underneath is stamped: "GILLOWS LANCASTER". c.1830

1817/18: Gillows of Lancaster: a good set of SIX solid mahogany DINING CHAIRS by this eminent and highly-regarded firm of cabinetmakers. The quality and design is typical of Gillows with reeded backs embellished with carved corner decorations, whilst the overstuffed upholstered seats are supported on good reeded and turned legs. These are strong, heavy and very practical chairs. *The price includes re-covering in buyers material. c.1845

The well-figured top of 54ins diameter is supported via the tilting mechanism with removable bolts, on a turned central column leading to solid rosewood cabriole legs and carved lion's paw feet with concealed castors below. 54ins diameter; 29ins high.
