1964/19: GILLOWS: A superb quality and particularly fine REGENCY solid rosewood CANTERBURY (or magazine rack) in very good condition. Of iconic X-frame shape (reputably designed by Loudon) it features four divisions with carved “laurel” motifs and a mahogany-lined frieze drawer with unusual carved handles. It is supported on pretty carved & fluted legs with high quality cast brass castors. A very fine example indeed. *Although unsigned, this can be firmly accredited to Gillows with its wonderful quality; screwed mahogany drawer lining and screw-thread carved solid rosewood handles. c.1830
