1604/17: A good late 18th century Sheraton period satinwood COLLECTORS CABINET containing a remarkably fine collection of FOSSILS. The twin doors, with their inlaid oval panels, open to reveal eight graduated drawers, all veneered in satinwood and banded in tulipwood. Each drawer opens to reveal the collection of fossils ~ over 100 in total ~ some of which are rare. They include animals; plants; ammonites; a large piece of petrified wood ~ even a sharks tooth. It is raised on its original matching satinwood stand terminating block feet. 41ins high overall20ins wide; 16ins deep. (104 x 51 x 40.5cms) c.1790

1009/15: A particularly fine quality late 18th or early 19th century mahogany BOOKCASE=CABINET of compact size. Below the well-drawn cornice are two glazed doors that retain most, if not all of the original glazing. These open to reveal two banks of adjustable shelves within, lined with watered silk. Below, the well-figure panel doors open to reveal shelved cupboards, and this pretty and useful cabinet is supported on elegant 'swept' bracket feet. Hinges and locks are all gilded (and original) and complete with original keys. 74ins high; 43ins wide (188 x 109cms) c.1800

827/14: An attractive, unusual and very fine quality mid-19th century SIDE CABINET, predominantly of rosewood. Below the solid gilt brass gallery, the top is veneered in finest burr amboyna wood, of glorious warm honey colour, whilst below is a central cupboard with a pleated 'silk' panel within the door, and with egg-and-dart mouldings and shelves inside. This is flanked by two narrow tall cupboards, also with shelves inside and with pretty silk-backed fretwork panels within the doors. It stands on a plinth base and measures 46ins (117cms) wide. c.1830
