1907/18: A spectacular quality late Victorian Sheraton Revival ROLL-TOP DESK in fine original condition. Primarily veneered in "plum pudding" mahogany this impressive desk is profusely marquetry inlaid with emblems; flowers and scrolls within figured satinwood borders. The top, with its original brass gallery, rolls back to reveal the well fitted interior with three small drawers and 6 pigeonholes, whilst the blind-tooled leather writing surface slides forward. To the frieze are two oak-lined drawers, and it is raised on marquetry inlaid tapering legs with original castors. Glorious colour and patina ~ a most impressive piece of furniture. c.1890

1835/18: A good early/mid 18th century walnut BUREAU of attractive warm colour. The well-figured crossbanded fall opens to reveal the interior with six oak-lined small drawers, with figured and crossbanded walnut fronts, flanking the central lockable cupboard. Below are two small and three long graduated drawers and it is supported on original bracket feet. 36ins wide; 39ins high; 20ins deep. (91 x 99 x 51cms) c.1730
