1756/18: A good Royal Worcester porcelain CANDLE-SNUFFER: "Confidence" depicting the famous Jenny Lind. Date coded for 1905. 4.25ins (10.8cms) high. *Jenny Lind (born Stockholm 1820 ~ died Malvern 1887) was a most famous 19th century soprano opera singer, often known as the "Swedish Nightingale". In 1852 she undertook a long tour of the United States; tickets for her performances were in such demand that they were sold by auction. She made a great deal of money and donated most of her profits to her favourite charities, principally the endowment of Free Schools in her native Sweden. c.1905

1648/18: ROYAL WORCESTER: a good set of FOUR porcelain figures from the "CRIES OF LONDON" Series, modelled by James Hadley. These are quite rare, and comprise: "Ye Water Carrier"; "Ye Night Watchman"; "Ye Marking Stones Man" and "Ye Brush Man". First introduced in 1883, these are date-coded for 1884. All are perfect; fully marked and measure about 7ins (17.75cms) high.( *Priced for the set of Four) c.1883
