2057/19: A splendid late 18th century oval TEA CADDY in especially fine original condition. Veneered in harewood, it is inlaid to the front with an oak tree, and to the lid with a basket of nuts and leaves. Some of the original lead lining remains, as does the original inner lid, and some (very old) tea! 5.5ins (14cms) wide c.1785

2037/19: A fine early 19th century George III or Regency period WALL CLOCK in good condition. The mahogany case, has a slender moulded dial surround, and a curved access door to the base, with a cast brass bezel holding the convex glass in place. The 8-day fusee-driven movement with its original brass pendulum, retains its original painted convex dial in excellent undamaged condition which is signed: Samuel Gatward, of Huntingdon. Good blued steel hands. Guaranteed for at least 2 years. *A Samuel Gatward is recorded working in Hoddesdon (Herts) circa 1750; this is likely to be by his son...(Huntingdon is about 50 miles North of Hoddesdon). c.1820

1867/18: A particularly fine and thoroughly original 18th century Chippendale period mahogany HANGING CORNER CABINET in excellent original condition. Below the pierced "Swan-Neck" pediment with its carved and gilded rosettes, is the well-figured and banded door, which opens to reveal three shaped shelves (making four in all). This door is flanked by reeded sides, and the painting of the interior, whilst not original, is certainly very old and in beautiful order. Dimensions to the corner: 22.5ins (57cms) c.1775
