1725/18: SALVATORE MELANI: a wonderful quality and most impressive Art Deco period BRONZE SCULPTURE which depicts a young near-naked nymph playing in the waves with two seagulls swooping around her. This large (and heavy!) bronze is signed within the bronze and is complete with its original variegated marble base. Overall measurements: 32ins wide; 21ins high' 9ins deep. (81 x 32 x 23cms). *Salvatore Melani was born in Italy in 1902and died at the early age of 32 in 1934. c.1930

1723/18: OMAR RAMSDEN: an interesting COMMEMORATIVE MEDAL designed by this famous silversmith and sculptor. This beautifully designed medal, complete with its original inscribed and fitted box, was awarded to the Runner Up (Football) in the Territorial Army Championships of 1934. It is signed with his initials (O.R. lower right) and the box is inscribed within the lid. The medal: 55mm diameter. *Omar Ramsden (1873-1939) was one of England's leading designers of silverware and his work is keenly sought-after. He was made a member of the Miniature Society in 1921, and he exhibited over 90 works there. c.1934
