1947/19: A stunning and utterly charming Art Deco period BRONZE SCULPTURE of a young mother and her child. Modelled by Claude Mirval this sensitive and highly competent sculpture depicts the beautiful young mother who laughs as she plays with her child. The artist has managed to capture the pure delight of new motherhood, whilst clearly the child is giggling with joy. Set upon its original shaped and stepped Sienna Marble base, this is a truly gorgeous and completely captivating Work of Art. Signed by the artist. 15.5ins (39cms) wide; 13.5ins (34.5cms) high. c.1925

1936/19: JOSEPH DESCOMPS: a fine Art Deco period silvered BRONZE SCULPTURE entitled "Enchanted". This beautiful bronze depicts a young woman, her long hair kept in place by a simple "tiara" with a matching necklace, whilst dressed "decolletage" in a long stylised gown of the 1920's period. Fully signed within the integral bronze base. Supported on its original shaped variegated onyx plinth, this measures 15.5ins (39.5cms) overall. c.1925

1916/18: A charming Art Deco period GILT-BRONZE figure of a naked girl dancing. She dances, her right arm flung backwards and balanced on one leg as she smiles broadly, clearly enjoying herself. Signed by the artist: R. Varnier to the integral bronze base, together with the foundry and measuring 11.25 ins (28.5cms) high including the rouge antico marble base. *Rene VARNIER was a French sculptural artist working during the Art deco period. He made statues and car mascots in spelter; bronze and ivory. c.1925
