Striking Wall Clock
2123/19: A very good quality early/mid 19th century two-train fusee WALL CLOCK in perfect working order. The mahogany case is of conventional design with its narrow solid frame; cast brass bezel and convex glass. The very fine movement has twin trains, both chain-driven fusee, striking hours on a bell. The good convex dial retains its original paintwork and is signed: T. Lake Taunton. Perfect working order and guaranteed for at least two years. *Thomas Lake worked in Taunton from 1793, based in East Street from 1822 and signed his work "& Son" (as here) from 1839 until 1852.
