2067/19: A charming early 19th century LONGCASE CLOCK by Robert Pryor of LONDON. The mahogany case is of compact size and restrained design, with a hood that features a circular convex glass; cast bezel and surmounted by the set of three gilded brass finials. The long trunk door is veneered in beautifully figured “flame” mahogany, whilst the base is similarly veneered and terminates in a plinth. The eight day three-train movement strikes hours on a large bell and chimes the quarters on a carillon of six bells. The painted circular dial is original as are the pretty blued steel hands. Full working and guaranteed at least two years.
