Umbrella/Waling stick stand
2033/19: A fine example of a late 19th century "Arts & Crafts" period oak and brass STICK & UMBRELLA STAND in particularly good condition. Primarily of honey oak, it features an upper cast brass gallery flanked by "sunflower" finials and a brass rail to retain walking sticks and umbrellas. To the base is the removable drip tray, whilst the back features typical Arts & Crafts turned decoration and uprights. Lovely condition and patina ~ quite a "statement" piece". *To the base is a cast registration mark, which indicates the exact date the design was first registered ~ in this instance: 4th May 1882.
