2029/19: A very good and substantial late 19th century French CARRIAGE CLOCK by the famous maker: Henri Jacot. The case is of “Gorge” design (the most expensive of the ‘standard’ cases) with its large bevelled glass panel to the top, whilst the 8-day movement strikes hours and half-hours on a gong and repeats hours at will. Original platform escapement and enamel dial with original blued steel hands. It is signed to the backplate with the maker’s trademark. Complete with original numbered key. (10683) 6,5ins high.
