Gilt bronze Sea Nymph

2014/19: DROUARD: an unusual late 19th century Art Nouveau period BRONZE SCULPTURE, in the manner of Franz Bergmann (of Vienna cold-painted bronze fame) which depicts a “sea nymph” in the form of a gilded naked young woman who is reclining as the waves wash over her. Embossed signature and mounted on its original oval green variegated marble base. 17.5ins (44.5cms) wide. *Eduard DROUARD: a French sculptor, born in 1859 and died in 1945.
