18th century urn stand
1993/19: A delightful and elegant late 18th century Hepplewhite period URN STAND of good colour and patina. The oval top with its solid gallery is veneered in finely figured mahogany, and features a small slide to the front. It is supported on four tapering splayed solid mahogany legs. *Although originally intended as a stand for a tea urn (the little slide was for a small china bowl to catch drips from the urn tap) nowadays they are most useful as pretty "wine" or side tables.
