Regency Wine Table

1991/19: An attractive early 19th century Regency period WINE or SIDE TABLE, probably of Scottish origin. The rectangular top with its rounded corners is veneered in finest “flame” mahogany with a wide band of satin birch between ebony stringing. It is supported via the tilt-top mechanism, on a turned and spirally-reeded central column leading to the reeded tripod legs and terminating in ornate cast brass castors. The top: 28 x 22ins. *The use if satin birch for the cross-banding and the spirally carved central column leads one to conclude this is likely to be Scottish.
