1937/19: A very fine and complete mahogany APOTHECARY'S CABINET in excellent and original condition. This large solid mahogany cabinet, with its recessed military-style carrying handle to the top, opens via two hinged doors to display the full set of 17 bottles and jars all with original labels. Below is the bank of five small drawers, which open to reveal all sorts of 'goodies' including pestle & mortar; further small bottles & stoppers; brass & steel scales and brass weights; a wonderful boxed hypodermic syringe and various needles and many other items, some contained in the deep drawer to the base. At the top of the back is the "secret" poison drawer with its full set of 5 red-labelled bottles on view. A fine example. 14ins high; 11.5ins wide; 7.5ins deep. (35.5 x 29 x 19cms)
