1929/19: A very fine late 18th century Chippendale period BUREAU-BOOKCASE in splendid original condition. Below the carved and pierced "Swan-Neck" cornice with its central urn are twin astragal glazed doors which open to show adjustable shelves within. The lower bureau section opens to reveal the beautifully fitted interior with 9 pigeon-holes; 7 small drawers and 2 further "secret" drawers. Further below are four long graduated drawers, with oak linings and original brass handles. Original bracket feet and working keys. 42ins wide; 7ft 10ins high max. *A most impressive and useful Drawing Room Bureau/Cabinet.
