Marquetry corner cabinet
1928/19: A superb quality and most elegant late 19th century Sheraton Revival mahogany standing CORNER CABINET in fine original condition. Below the pretty cornice with its marquetry inlaid anthiemon and swan-necks are twin doors with Gothic glazing bars flanked by turreted columns inlaid with trailing vines. Below the central drawer are two bow-fronted doors, also profusely marquetry inlaid, which open to reveal shelves within. It stands on solid 'toupee' feet and measures 6ft 8ins high and 35ins wide. A most elegant and high quality cabinet. * Signed to the edge of the drawer by the cabinetmakers: Edwards & Roberts.
