Naked bronze Dancer
1916/18: A charming Art Deco period GILT-BRONZE figure of a naked girl dancing. She dances, her right arm flung backwards and balanced on one leg as she smiles broadly, clearly enjoying herself. Signed by the artist: R. Varnier to the integral bronze base, together with the foundry and measuring 11.25 ins (28.5cms) high including the rouge antico marble base. *Rene VARNIER was a French sculptural artist working during the Art deco period. He made statues and car mascots in spelter; bronze and ivory.
