LARGE bronze sculpture
1909/18: RICHTER-ELSNER: a large and most impressive Art Nouveau BRONZE SCULPTURE of a naked maiden, ascending steps and carrying an amphora on her shoulder, presumably having filled it with water. This stunning bronze retains its warm colour and fine patina, and measures 31ins (78.5cms) high making this a most imposing Work of Art. Signed by the artist and the foundry. * This bronze is typical of the German sculptor Fritz RICHTER-ELSNER (1884-1970) who was artistic director of the famous Oskar Gladenback Hofbildgieserei in Berlin from 1905-1916. In the 1920's he moved on to more monumental sculpture
