1787/18: Wm. Fleetwood of London: a fine 18th century mahogany BRACKET CLOCK in full working order. The case, typically third quarter of the century features a "bell" top with cast handle; ormolu spandrels to the arched front door and bracket feet. The 8-day movement retains its original verge escapement with a finely engraved backplate striking hours on a bell, and repeating hours at will. The good chapter-ring-and-spandrels dial features "Strike/Silent" in the arch; mock pendulum; and date aperture. A handsome Bracket Clock ~ guaranteed for at least two years. 20ins high excluding the handle.
