English Four-Glass Mantle Clock
1693/18: George Crate, LONDON: a good mid/late 19th century English FOUR-GLASS MANTEL CLOCK of small size and in perfect working order. The case is of mahogany with bevelled glass panels to the top and both sides and it is raised upon an ogee moulded and shaped plinth base. The eight-day fusee movement has anchor escapement with its original pendulum, whilst the engraved and silvered dial is signed by the maker. 10ins high; 7ins wide; 5.5ins deep (25.5 x 18 x 14cms). *George Crate is recorded working in Barnet, North London circa 1870.
