"Juggler" bronze by Colinet

1612/17: COLINET: "The Juggler": a fine ART DECO BRONZE which depicts a naked girl dancing as she balances on her right foot whilst juggling. It is raised on its original 'rouge antico' marble socle base, which is engraved with the full signature: "CJR COLINET. Illustrated in "Art Deco & Other Bronzes" by Bryan Catley, page 112. 10ins (25.5cms) high. *Claire Jeanne Roberte COLINET was born in Brussels but like many artists of the day, she moved to Paris, where she was elected to the Societe des Artistes and exhibited at the Salon from 1913.
