18th century oval tea caddy
1606/17: A good late 18th century OVAL TEA CADDY veneered in figured sycamore wood, with boxwood edges. The lid is inlaid with an oval marquetry panel of a conch shell, with a similar oval panel to the front, flanked by inlaid trailing leaves and harebells. The inside contains much of the original lead lining. 5.5ins wide.
