Cased Scent Bottle
1561/17: A pretty late Victorian hallmarked SILVER SCENT BOTTLE complete with its original gilt-tooled fitted leather case in remarkable condition. The scent bottle itself is of swirling ribbed design, with a hinged lid, which opens to reveal the original stopper, and whilst the case notes the retailers as Marshall & Co., of Edinburgh, the bottle itself is by Samson Morden and Co of London. Hallmarked for London 1893. The case: 3.5ins x 2.5ins x 1.75 ins.
