1558/17: A large late Victorian or Edwardian DRINKS & GAMES COMPENDIUM with all sorts of fine contents. The case itself is of mahogany inlaid with 'batswing' decoration to the front, and lid, with hinged brass handles to either side. It opens to reveal its set of three cut-glass decanters; set of 6 engraved glasses; pair of gilt coasters and a large gilt tray. A cedar-lined drawer can be found to the front (for cigars) and a secret button accesses the games drawer, with cards; pegs; counters and dice etc., plus a gilt cribbage board above. Excellent condition. 16 x 14.5 x 11ins (40.5 x 37 x 28cms).
