1551/17: LAVERGNE: a beautifully modelled and well cast BRONZE SCULPTURE of a young boy fishing. He stands wearing a hat, his trousers rolled up as he concentrates on baiting his fishing rod. Good patina and in fine condition. Signed to the integral base. 12ins (30.5cms) high. *Adolphe-Jean LAVERGNE was born in France in 1852 and he died in 1901. Examples of this charming bronze have been seen with the title "Pecheur" applied to the front of the base.
